Does the hinge reaction do any work?
@Chemomechanics Yes. Got it. The hinge reaction has no component in direction of motion.

I thought about it and I am not sure but I think it does have component in the direction of motion of center of rod at that particular instant.

Is there any loss of potential energy during nuclear fission?
@annav I still don't understand how the less gravitational potential energy will appear as the kinetic energy of the fragments. Can you please explain it?

What is wrong with my perpetual motion machine model?
@JMac I hope you have read the description. I stated that the car B can only move forwards. It cannot move backwards as the wheels will be jammed (hot wheels toy car feature). So the pull due to magnetic force and friction due to jammed wheels will counteract each other. The only other force will be of Car A.

@JMac As soon as they come in contact, the friction will deal with the backward force of Car B so they both will counteract. So the only force acting will be of the Car A.
