Improved edits of Kuhlambo. His other edits were not necessary and complicated the question, which is quite clear for most persons (in particular, the fact that I wrote "torque (F1, F2)" already means that the forces remain orthogonal to the rod, by the very definition of a torque).

after spending quite some time today being confused about this question I insisted on clarifications by op and finally received them this is what I added to the text I also cropped the image so that it is a bit bigger easier to see what's going on. the text I added is basically their own words so.
