Thanks for the nice comment. As far as the book, I would agree that its not a textbook, and I think the author makes a good show of saying that up front, however, for me it was one of the books that was what I consider a "connector" from the world of popular "noise" to the world of QFT, so it will always have a high place in my personal library despite its admitted flaws.
