A black hole is a region of spacetime from which nothing can escape. More formally, the future light cone of any observer within the black hole is completely contained in the black hole, and the black hole region is not within the past light cone of any observer that goes to spatial infinity in an infinite amount of time.

black hole escape speed
Escape velocity = (√GM)/√r > C. G= universal gravitational constant (6.67384 × 10-11 m^3 kg^-1 s^-2) M= mass of black hole r=radius of black hole c=3.00x10^8 m/s

Are there any planned experiments to intentionally create black holes in the lab for study?
In 2008 Ulf Leonhardt of University of St. Andrews UK led the first research group to make an artificial black hole. Its purpose was to look for experimental evidence of "Hawking Radition," photons an …

Why does angular momentum shorten the Schwarzschild Radius of a black hole?
Angular momentum causes the event horizon of a black hole to recede. At maximum angular momentum, $J=GM^2/c$, the Schwarzschild radius is half of what it would be if the black hole wasn't spinning.
