Are there theories about the end of the universe where time ends?

We always tend to think that future will come no matter how far in the future that is. But according to some theories, time started at the big bang and before the big bang doesn't make any sense just like going to north does not make any sense when you are at the north pole. But there is also the south pole where going to further south makes no sense. So are there theories which implies that there is a future point where time ends and going into further future doesn't make any sense ? I know that there is a theory according to which after a finite amount of time the expansion rate becomes infinite and it creates a singularity everywhere and space together time just rips apart. Are there other theories like this?
