I'm rather interested in getting my feet wet at the interface of information and complexity. Can anybody give me references to some good books on information, as it pertains to complexity and emergence? I'm looking either popular books or very introductory technical books. Thanks. (I understand that the engineers work with a rather limited technical notion of information. I'm interested in attempts to go beyond this.)
