When I was in high school I heard from my physics teacher in the last year of high school when he was starting the chapter of Electromagnetic waves, that the first person who proved existence of Electromagnetic waves (perhaps Faradei, Hertz, Maxwell, ..., I don't remember him) make sender and receiver and put one on a mount and the other on the other mount. Then send waves! and at the other side receiver light (some lamp?), ... . Something like these. I cann't remember them, And You should excuse me, my field of study is not physics and I didn't do anything on it after high school except calculating some equations which my friends need them in physics.

My question has several parts as following:
1- Who was the person I am mentioning in my above story exactly? I should know him to don't make mistakes in future speaks as above .
2-(The main part) What was his experience exactly? I'm interest to know what does he do at that time and of course what was his experiences instruments. Think that I am your student in high school and you want to show me that experience again and our high school have all requested instruments and let you do that experience in lab for your students to learn better.

Also my English for speaking about physics subjects may be not good, so if you see somewhere my notes need to be correct, do it. Thank you for spending time on my question.
