I am trying to model the behaviour of a string, when it's forced by a certain frequency. I know that when the frequency is near the resonant frequency or it's higher harmonics, a standing wave will be created. But I have a problem finding a way to model the resulting wave of a string when the driving frequency is not near the resonant frequency.
