# Position and momentum of an electron in a hydrogen atom [closed]

What can be expected as results for a set of position and momentum measurements of an electron in a hydrogen atom?

I believe that for the position, we can expect something depending on the radial probability density (shown in the figure for levels $$1s$$, $$2s$$ and $$3s$$).

If I'm wrong, please correct me. On the other hand, with regard to the set of measures of the momentum, I do not know what can be achieved. Is there a way to estimate this or can I just expect the uncertainty principle to be obeyed?

• you can go to the momentum space and calculate the probability – amilton moreira Jul 16 at 16:16
