What's the difference between the Berry phase, the Euler number, the winding number and the Chern number? As far as I know they can all be computed by the same integral, but there seems to be some fundamental differences between them, what's that? Why do we choose the Chern number in the bulk-edge correspondence principle and not the Euler number? How is that more general?
