While studying Simple Harmonic Motion and Lissajous figure, I found a term called Rectangular SHM. But what is it actually? Is it something like square wave? What is the difference between Linear and Rectangular Simple Harmonic Motion?

  • $\begingroup$ This uses the term to mean a particle in SHM in two orthogonal directions. I don't think it is standard terminology. $\endgroup$ – Keith McClary Jul 22 at 4:14
