I would like to know if non-commutative field theory is related to $q$-deformed groups in any way. There is a relation between non-commutative field theory and group field theory which I understand is explained here (https://arxiv.org/abs/0811.1462). But here, the group is the usual un-deformed $SU(2)$ group. However, I have seen in the literature, the $q$-deformed groups and non-commutative field theory being uttered in the same breath, giving an impression that they are somehow related for which I cannot find any good references. If anyone has any recommendations, I will be highly grateful. Recommendations on the relation between LQG and $q$-deformed groups will also be appreciated.
