There is a transport design that has a carriage suspended from a rail (A) that is levitated by pumping air through holes (B) into an area with the intention of levitating the carriage so that it can move freely. Is there a scientific way to assess the feasibility of this method of locomotion?

  • $\begingroup$ Yes, calculate the pressure and mass flow rate of air necessary to lift the load. First define the total load. $\endgroup$ – user207455 May 25 '19 at 20:43
