As an noob to microscopy, photography, and optics in general, I'm trying to figure out if I can use the KPPACE KP-2100 camera as a desk electronics microscope. I want something I can mount to the shelf above my desk, which is 36-40 inches above the subject (soldering area). The camera comes with a 0.5x eyepiece lens made to fit 23, 30, and 30.5mm eyepiece receptors, and advertises an optical format of 1/2.3 inches. How can I calculate the required optics to focus on a subject that is approximately 36 inches from the eyepiece lens? Is it even possible with this camera, or am I ignorant to some limitation?
