If I want to say build a magneto nozzle for a plasma rocket engine, and I need some kind of strut for structural support for the superconducting coils, and these struts are at a short distance to the very hot ~7,000 to 10,000K plasma body, what would be the optimal material and surface treatment for the strut which has no active cooling? Should it be polished to a mirror? How is surface reflectance is determined with respect to the incident angle, wavelength, and material?
