The idea is this:

  • There is a point at the center of a sphere.

  • This point is releasing a fluid (say water) in all directions towards the edges of the sphere.

  • The fluid can collide with the sphere's edges, causing it to bounce around.

How would you model such a situation?

  • $\begingroup$ You need Navier Stokes equation for compressible flow. You have a 3d-source at the sphere centre. $\endgroup$ – Deep Dec 24 '18 at 3:45
