I am little confused here in my textbook it is written that q(free) is used in place of Q {charge on capacitor} to emphasise that free charge given to plate and doesn't include bound charge appearing due to polarization. But my question is

It it net charge onone side of capacitor as we have included one side of capacitor and dielectric in Gaussian surface ..

if yes then what is meaning of it doesn't include bounded charge??
