Very basic example: When rubbed together, a balloon gets negatively charged and since hair lost some electrons it gets positively charged. And then they attract each other. Very nice. And more and more examples can be given on the subject.

But I want to understand exactly. What properties of the objects do determine the direction of the change?

I've found a table called triboelectric series but again I couldn't see any explanation on the properties that helped constructing that series.

In your answers, please help me feel the subject so that I never forget it.

I appreciate your attention.

Negative charge move from hairs toward balloon because hairs have high negative charges than balloon, and changs move from higher potential to lower potentia.......
