The full moon is the brightest object in the night sky. I believe that if we increase the aperture of the objective, and decrease the magnification of the telescope, it might concentrate a dangerous amount of light energy from the full moon over a small region. So my question is, can a telescope really be dangerous in this way, and if yes, then what value of the aperture/magnification ratio will be that dangerous. If my conception is correct, then isn't it possible to build a very small harmless looking telescope to be actually that dangerous.
