I am aware RC circuits and its basic workings, figuring out time constants and associated energy analysis. Would it be right to conclude that the battery powering this circuit would do more work when the magnetic field is turned on, than when it was off? My thought behind this is since a battery in an RC circuit does work in transferring charges from one plate of the capacitor to the other, it should do the same here. How would one define the capacitance of the conductor here?
