What confuses me is that in the mentioned paper (Kaastra et al. 2008) they explain the EA (Excitation-Autoionization) process by the fact that one electron is excited, not two. So it seems to me that the first explanation (Dopita & Sutherlend) implies the excitation of two and the other (Kaastra et al.) only one electron. Does this mean that both types of processes can happen and can be called EA processes? | |
