Feb 25, 2023 at 16:01 | comment | added | PM 2Ring | "Imagine a tower in which attached to the ceiling there are a reservoir a fountain." What does that mean? Are there words missing or other typos? How does a tower have a ceiling?

Feb 25, 2023 at 14:55 | comment | added | moonblink | @gandalf61 Instead of voting to close how about asking for explanations that can improve the question? The fountain is at the centre of the tower, so the pump at the floor that sucks the water needs enough power only to reach half of the tower's height. The fountain in the second experiment additionally shoots the water in two opposite directions (it has an additional pump).
Feb 25, 2023 at 14:51 | comment | added | gandalf61 | Voting to close since your explanation of your thought experiments is very confusing and difficult to follow. In particular, how does the water reach the ceiling in the second experiment if the pump "needs to push the water only until the centre of the tower" ?
