I just came up with idea that our universe is essentially a some kind of elastic multidimensional fabric and particles in it are just tensions or vibration in it. Moreover I think that we can describe all particles with this approach, including photons. I suppose particles is just matter of nature of vibration. Photon maybe is just some canonical vibration that travels with fastest speed possible. With this theory we can merge conservation of mass with conservation of energy. Thus, regardless what you will say about it, I want to try to elaborate this and describe it mathematically. So I am here to ask you a question about howIn string theory works. I mean specifically, how scientists distinguish particles in it? Strings - are they all the same or they actually differs from particle tospecific string states associated with specific particle species? And specifically how can we describeHow in particular is the photon described as an oscillation ofa string?

In string theory, how are specific string states associated with specific particle species? How in particular is the photon described as a string?
