We need a clock of some kind to measure duration, and only an "accurate" clock will read a duration that's always very near the true, unknowable duration. No clock is perfect, but accurate clocks can get close.
Feb 23, 2022 at 15:03 comment added MatterGauge The actual duration is a constant. The point is that only a perfect clock can measure this. But if you use a caesium clock your egg will be boiled fine.
