Sep 29, 2023 at 22:58 comment added tony When the observer (i) sees person (ii) approaching a black hole, (ii)'s motion slows until it becomes infinitely slow (dilation); (i) will effectively never see (ii) enter the BH. For (ii), his time remains normal. His clock ticks normally. He falls into the BH in his own normal time. How can both of these things occur?
