Mar 25, 2021 at 8:03 comment added Roger V. @Evamentality This is what I mentioned as a polaritonic condensate: in this case we have excitations of photon modes coupled to electronic transitions in QDs - it is these excitations that condense, not the QDs themselves.
Mar 24, 2021 at 22:47 comment added Evamentality Quantum Dots can achieve a wave coherence when exposed to light, behaving like quasiparticles. This is more of a educated guess, but I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t get a system of QD’s to have an integer spin, making it feasible.
