Comparison of Forces Why is the electrical force between Conductors and Point Charges carrying Same Magnitude ofpoint charges less than between conducting spheres?

I found this in my physics book :

Force between two conducting spheres having opposite charge is more The force between two conducting spheres having opposite charge is more than force between point charges of same magnitude and separated bythan the force between point charges of the same magnitudes and separated by same distancethe same distance.

Not Surprisingly , It didn't say 'WHY?'

Anyone of anyI was wondering why this is so. Can anyone help?
