I am also used to Hilbert spaces from mathematical analysis and Fourier transforms, the works, etc. That's why I would really like some concrete examples of the above to work on some examples. $|\phi>$ . For instance, particle in a box, hydrogen atom, the eigen vectors are functions. In spin, they are matrices. Some examples would be nice. Also, there must be a proof of $1=\int dx|x><x|$. Can you point me where?
