Why isn't there any current in the Primaryprimary if Secondarysecondary circuit is opened in a Transformertransformer?

AssumeConsider an ideal transformer, with no load/resistor attached on the Secondarysecondary (Open Circuitppen circuit), it. It is said that the Primaryprimary would act as if it is an open circuit too, thus no current flows through the Primaryprimary.

My Questionquestion is how does the Primaryprimary 'knows' there is nothing connected on the Secondary? (andsecondary, and acts like an open circuit although they're not)?
