Nov 2, 2012 at 20:08 comment added Mark Rovetta Radar rather than visible light is a better choice for probing the precipitation in clouds (i.e. weather radar.) Although total amount of water does depend upon the size of the cloud, it also depends on the size of raindrops. Perhaps the total amount depends much more upon raindrop size than cloud?
