It means that nobody clicked the up arrow on the left of the answer,, nobody liked the answer enough to do so. It does not mean "downvoting" in the voting system of the site. | |

Many people down vote because of vaguely not liking the answer, Voting is not a peer review system after all,.because any user with some reputation can vote., irrespective of level of physics understanding. | |
