Nov 25, 2021 at 15:03 comment added nougako @styrofoamfly there is no way the answer to "What factors determine the coefficient of friction?" is opinion-based. It's purely physics question.

Feb 26, 2018 at 6:54 comment added Steeven Note that your sentence "What are some examples of materials with a low coefficient of friction" does not make sense. The coefficient of friction is not something a material "has". It is a property of both surfaces in contact. Ice-on-concrete has one coefficient of friction, ice-on-rubber another, ice-on-ice a third etc.

Feb 26, 2018 at 4:02 comment added fabianna segovia i am struggling more with the other question, what factors determine the coefficient of friction?
Feb 26, 2018 at 3:55 comment added Hot Licks What about Teflon? What about gum rubber?
Feb 26, 2018 at 3:53 comment added fabianna segovia not helping at all, i dont know that why i am asking you guys
Feb 26, 2018 at 3:45 comment added Hot Licks Do you understand what "coefficient of friction" means? What do YOU think would be good examples of low and high coefficients of friction?
