Oct 16, 2017 at 7:04 comment added Bence Racskó @annav I don't feel this sort of pedantry is in any way constructive. 1) The answerer clearly meant that the connection coefficients will not vanish in a nonlinear coordinate system even in curvature-free pseudo-riemannian spaces; 2) Approximation? Or every time you do special relativity, quantum field theory, and classical electrodynamics, you always take the gravitational back-reaction into the calculation? I don't think so.
