I heard about it in a talk on the BBC sometime in the 1980s: it made a deep impression on me at the time, but I have since failed to find any record of it, or whose experiment it was. I do search from time to time. However it is just a particularly striking example of the butterfly effect, and there are other well-known examples of this. | |
