If you're interested you should inquire about seeing the setup or even doing the experiment with whoever runs the student labs. | |

There's another common Mossbauer experiment, in which the receiver accelerates (the setup is horizontal or covers a very short range so as to avoid the GR gravitational effect) and the peak absorption is measured against instantaneous velocity. | |
