There is not one equation but probably dozens that are commonly used to approximate different scattering scenarios, and in general there are plenty of numerical tools to deal with these kinds of problems. The usual "introduction" to these problems is by means of Rayleigh scattering, which explains the blue color of the sky on Earth. | |
