Forgive me if this a simple question with an obvious answer I can't see. I was thinking about pressure and air pressure and how we have millionsthousands of pounds of air pressing down on us. What I'm wondering is why I can move through it so easily. Because of all this air, shouldn't the pressure and the compression of all this air make it really difficult to move through? I think this because when I'm in a swimming pool, the deeper I go, the more difficult it is to move my arms in non-streamline movements.

How come it's so easy to move through it?

I also have a second question which is related to but is different which is

When I'm moving through air, am I increasing the air pressure by pushing air together say when I move my arm?
