I know that that was one of the reason i asked it, but here is what you get when you search wave number on google which confused me "The term wave number refers to the number of complete wave cycles of an electromagnetic field (EM field) that exist in one meter (1 m) of linear space."

as much i know if you go too high the air density decreases and so the lift, eventually you have to cruse at a higher velocity to get same amount of lift which increases the fuel consumption, so dimples are not that bad idea
