I misread it; I clarified my answer.

@Jonathan: I guess Tobias meant neutron instead of electron.

Correcting again stupid mistakes in English

comment What's with the very slightly larger mass of the neutron compared to the proton?
I would say "it is not fully understood in the standard model". I would not say that it is the same for Pi, that would be too much of psychology.

Note that this is really language dependent, without your definitions I would not be able to translate and understand them, even tough I know the differences (in French) :p

comment What experiment would disprove string theory?
I agree, but my point is "there is no disproof experiments needed, just proof experiments": any experiment, one after the other, contribute to the "proof", but any single one of them can be a potential disproof.

synchrotron radiation goes as 1/m^4, thus being negligible for protons. It is usually a design constraint for electron accelerator but it is not as important for a proton machine.

About synchrotron radiation: the LHC is actually the first proton accelerator where this is not a completely negligible effect, but it is a second order effect: it is taken into account in the heat load of the cryo system and it is used for beam characterization, but from a pure synchrotron motion/acceleration point of view it is negligible.

As we are in the beta phase, it took the liberty to ask/answer a question.
