Your previous questions suggest that you are using Matlab, which has the angle() function for calculating arg. In other languages that support complex types, arg (or something similar such as carg for C99 complex doubles) is more common.

Just a little quibble; you're using $H$ to represent a unitary. Upon first glance $H$ suggests Hamiltonian. I'd recommend turning your $H_i$ into $U_i$.

Sze Tan did not believe in function prototypes when coding in C. It works, just don't go poking around in the source code.
