comment Is the butterfly effect real?
AFAIK there is a considerable amount of experimental verification of chaos in natural phenomena. Why would you not believe that chaos theory does not fit reality? The hypothesis "as far as one is willing to believe" is true for any scientific statement.

comment Is the butterfly effect real?
It can't be predicted, but it can be controlled. See e.g. Ott's book on dynamical systems, or search controlling chaos.

comment Derive statistical entropy from information entropy
Thanks for the try. I've improved the last equation to the result I have so far, which is closer to the expected result.

comment Does Noether's theorem apply to entropy?
Related: there is a recent arxiv that claims that entropy is the noether's charge of a specific infinitesimal time translation: arxiv.org/abs/1509.08943v1

comment How to measure the wavelength of a laser pointer?
Brilliant idea, and 2-3% error is amazing for such improvised setup.

comment Is there any disadvantage to sending rockets straight up?
I wonder if for a given rocket configuration the optimal path to orbit is unique.

comment Impact of the noise distribution on Geometric Brownian motion
If this relaxes the readers, this comes from a non-hyperbolic system. I asked here because I don't want neither finance literature nor mathematical theorems... I want physics' literature.

comment Chaos is predictable?
Even if I understand your point, Chaos is well defined and the first sentence can be misleading...

comment What happens when a photon hits a mirror?
Sorry, but I think this answer does not answer the question. It just tries to explain classical theory in light of QED... A proper explanation would tell why the peak of the probability is highest for specular reflection... xD
