Thanks for replying. In your answer, you also mentioned that $PV^n=const$ is not likely to occur naturally other than in the special cases mentioned. Does this also mean that there are no engineering applications?

Thanks for answering. Just one thing, you said that we can force a system to follow any relation we want by simultaneously controlling the container volume & the temperature. Does this imply that $PV^n=const$ can never occur at constant temperature except for n=1?
