I'm a professional PHP programmer with almost a decade of professional experience and considerably more as a hobbyist programmer. I've also had some exposure to Java, Object Pascal and am interested in learning objective C

I've started work on a PHP framework, though it's still at a very early stage and not yet really useful. The current source is available on GitHub.

I've also begun development of a CSS3 elastic grid for use on my own projects and had published that on GitHub as well.

comment What practical issues remain for the adoption of Thorium reactors?
Thanks for the comment. I'm not a scientist, just an interested layman, so your information was helpful. I remember reading about the Oak Ridge reactor being described as "inherently safe" as its fuel was in a liquid state, and would have just run out of the reactor if containment failed, cooled and solidified, ending the reaction. It just seems to me that there's a lot of effort put into fusion that hasn't produced a reactor that generates more power than it consumed, whilst thorium reactors have been mostly ignored in spite of experiments proving them viable as power sources.

Weren't Oak Ridge looking into them in the 60s and found them to be potentially viable as a power source?

Like I said, it came from Brian Cox's Evening With The Stars lecture. If you're in the UK you should still be able to see it on iPlayer.
