Simple rotation of an atomic orbital wavefunction Cool. I found that I get my answer by rotating about the $z$ axis instead. Thanks for the help! |

Simple rotation of an atomic orbital wavefunction Importantly I'm curious about this because I don't see how the rotated angular function shown above is related to $-d_{xy}$. |

Simple rotation of an atomic orbital wavefunction Where can I read more about this tabulated way to write them in terms of themselves? The reason I'm interested in this is because I'm trying to discover the transformation properties of symmetry adapted linear combinations for myself, but I've found I cannot reliably attack this via the graphical approach. |

Leaching of radiometric material, is it possible? @David Zaslasvky: the question is fine and I have no problem with being critical, however, there is a difference between healthy skepticism and denialism. In my very limited experience, entertaining denialists has been fruitless. One can always hope for an exception, but I guess I've given up. I have nothing further to say on the matter. |

Leaching of radiometric material, is it possible? This line of questioning seems decidedly creationist in origin. |
