@space_cadet: yes, the questions are very similar, but 1. @tylerl's question explicitly requires 3D ("without assuming more dimensions") Could additional dimensions be used? 2. The second difference is additivity: do 10 cc contain 10 times more information exactly (or there could be an interaction that allows more than 10 times)? 3. Does the the accepted answer physics.stackexchange.com/questions/2281/… is the only possible approach?
