comment Is the earth expanding?
A down vote for stating the possible and no explanation. Don't worry I still believe you cant split the atom and god created the earth therefore it's dimensions cant chage.

comment Rocket launch from a mountain
Whiteout the location of the mountain the answer is incorrect. The diameter relative to the rotation at that latitude is not that same as on the equator. The question posted is not the question I asked.

comment Rocket launch from a mountain
The height of the mountain becomes more critical once your realize the amount of speed you need at the relise point so I was going to ask next is the propulsion needed to live the ramp at just under mach 1. But the sight controllers don't to.

I was just trying to have some cooperative work. My intent was to ask a series of questions related to launching of a mountain. But you edited out the specifics. Am 60 I don't do homework. Please just close the question it has no relevance now.

Nice response. Internal combustion for all its faults is nothing more that expanding gases pushing the cylinders.

comment A spinning bullet
Is there something about how the spin changes the aerodynamics. But what I'm relay wondering about is if the gyroscopic behavior of something so small has an influence.

comment maximum rotational speed
Do you mean the rotation of a particle or mass. You state general relativity and rotating objects in the same sentence.

comment Hail stones in summer?
Very nice description. Standing at the base of Popocatepet "Its a 18,000 ft volcano close to Mexico Ct." you can actually see this happen. You see the humidity rise from one valley the frozen jet-stream coming of the volcano will carry it to the next sunny valley where you get bearing like hail. This kind of hail is very hard ice and comes down fast. We had to describe the phenomena as part of geo-physics class
