@Bernhard The axis of the cylinder is the dot in the middle of the picture (in the direction out of the page). The cylinder rotates on that axis. No translations, just rotational motion, something like a hamster on a wheel, only this time the hamster is stationary on a certain point in the inside of the wheel, and the wheel rotates with a certain speed. For question 3, I would say $N = mg\cos\theta + m\omega^{2}R$, as it is asked in question 1 beforehand.
