comment What is the meaning of this “let there be light” joke?
You must have had a really good camera to get a very detailed (and creepy) picture of a middle school teacher (don't know how you knew it was a middle school teacher) from across the street. Oh, the wonders of modern technology (and physics, light physics)!

I have spent my entire life pondering this exact question, and now I am delighted to see that someone else shares the exact same mentality as I do.

comment Why do bullets in a magazine go up instead of down?
I always assumed that when they designed the guns, they tried to measure optimal places to insert bullets. Putting it inside from the side like the Sten meant it would be prone to jams. And maybe they abandoned gravity-fed mags in favor of spring loaded magazines

I'm still sure there must be a reason as to why they stopped putting magazines into the side rather than the bottom or top.

So it's more design rather than how bullets are loaded into the chamber, correct?

comment What is the information content of a human being?
Basically, what I'm trying to say is, could we fit all the atoms within our bodies into, let's say a 2GB USB flash drive (assuming each byte represents one atom), plug into a respawning machine, and have us re-appear again?
