I want to know for the individual molecules. So do I understand correctly that I just use the same formula and mass as I would in lab frame? It seems weird because the reduced mass of the molecule is different...

Sorry, what I meant was an expression without infinite sum. E.g. with an expontentiation. Is it reducable to something like that?

It does yes. I guess we should consider [Sx, exp(Sz)], .., [Sz, exp(Sz)] seperately. But it's really more of a general question; spin is just the example that raised it.
