Approximating Rolling/Sliding in 2D Shape Thank you. It certainly can't hurt. I've been looking at the problem in my spare time for the past week now and am making some slow progress on the force side of it. Am now looking at the movement side, as I need to describe the motion in order to describe how the moment of inertia changes through time. |

Approximating Rolling/Sliding in 2D Shape @Jaime Thanks for the paper. It's a bit of a start at describing the motion at least. I'm still struggling to describe how the axis of rotation, moment of inertia, gravitational, normal and frictional forces change as the object rolls though. |
